PADI Rescue Diver & EFR
To sign up for the PADI Rescue Diver, you must hold a first aid certificate such as the Red Cross or the EFR (Emergency First responder) valid up to 2 years.
EFR Training
Become an Emergency Responder in one day
Enjoy your holidays in a fun way by learning the basic techniques of rescuers:
- risk assessment, precautions and protections
- assessment of an injured and / or sick
- artificial respiration and cardiac massage
- management of bleeding, choking, shock bandages and splints
The EFR (Emergency First Response) is open to everyone (divers or not) and is internationally recognized.
After watching a video in the morning, you will improve your knowledge with reading materials,
answer questions with your instructor
followed by a final quiz.
In the afternoon you will practice emergency scenarios.
Same day, certification with first aid card, valid for two years.

PADI Rescue Diver Training

You are perfectly comfortable in the water with your diving skills?
Upgrade your experience by learning how to assist other divers.
After completing the medical form, the PADI Rescue Diver includes 5 theory modules, videos over by your instructor.
Your knowledge will be validated by a final exam.
But the key elements of this course are in its practice.
Pool first, then 4 dives with scenarios:
- anticipation
- self-rescue techniques
- stress management surface and immersion
- search for missing divers
- recovery of an unconscious diver
- oxygen therapy
- emergency evacuation plan
In 3 days around Tulamben, you will have acquired the skills of rescue divers.
PADI Rescue Diver in short:
- 12 years old minimum
- have a PADI Advanced Open Water or equivalent
- got a first aid certificate valid within2 years (EFR, Red Cross, …)
- 3 days of training and pleasure
